rsync는 리눅스에서 백업을 할때 유용한 툴입니다.
서버단에서 특정 폴더나 파일을 제외하는 방법입니다.

rsyncd.conf 파일에 아래와 같이 설정 합니다.(ubuntu는 /etc/rsyncd.conf)

[mywork]
path = path_to_source_directory
exclude from = exclude_file
......

path는 백업을 원하는 원본 디렉토리에 대한 절대경로입니다.
exclude_file은 제외할 파일들에 대한 정보가 있는 파일의 위치입니다.

exclude_file은 아래와 같이 path_to_source_directory 에 대한 상대 경로로 파일이나 디렉토리를 줄 단위로 나열합니다.

README.secret
hidden.*
private/*
